Tender Result-A new low in solar auction is achieved in SECI tender for 1070 MW Grid-Connected Solar PV Power projects in Rajasthan (Tranche-III)

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on November 23, 2020 conducted the reverse auctioning for the tender issued on July 16, 2020 for 1070 MW Grid-connected Solar PV Power Projects in Rajasthan (Tranche-III) under Tariff-based competitive bidding has been issued under the Standard Bidding Guidelines and announced the successful bidders for the tender. The last date to submit the bids was 31st August, 2020.

The auctioning made a new page in Indian Solar Sector with golden words of creating new milestone of discovering lowest solar tariff as of now with INR 2 per unit from the last lowest tariff of INR 2.36 per unit.

Under the tender Solar Power Developers selected by SECI based on this RfS, shall set up Solar PV Projects on Build Own Operate (BOO) basis in accordance with the provisions of this RfS document and standard Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The result of the tender is as below:

The tender received the bid for 4350 MW from approx. 14 companies.

The other bidders are Sprng Ujjvala Energy Private Limited, SJVN Limited, Talettutayi Solar Projects Nine Pvt. Ltd., Vector Green Energy Private Ltd., Jakson Power Private Limited 1, The Tata Power Company Limited, Juniper Green Energy Private Limited, ABC Renewable Energy Private Limited, Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, AMP Energy Green Private Limited, and O2 Power SG PTE. Ltd.

The quoted range of tariff is INR 2 per unit to INR 2.43 per unit.
