The Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has invited bids to develop 50 MW of grid-connected and small-scale solar projects in various states and union territories under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.
The projects are to be developed on the rooftops of government buildings. Solar power generated from these projects may be utilized for captive consumption, and the surplus power is expected to be fed to the grid.
Bidders are to quote a levelized tariff for 25 years. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects.
Further, interconnections with the grid for net metering and obtaining all statutory approvals, quality control of the projects, including the operation and maintenance for 25 years after commissioning, will be the responsibility of the developer. No subsidy is available for the development of these projects.
REIL has set a ceiling tariff of ₹4.65 ($0.066)/kWh and ₹5.10 ($0.072)/kWh for general and special category states, respectively. Bidders can submit their bids for a minimum project size of 1 kW each.
The earnest money deposit (EMD) has been set at ₹960,000 ($13,528)/MW.
The last date for the submission of bids for this tender is November 2, 2019.
In August 2019, REIL issued a tender for the installation and commissioning of 2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at several government buildings in the capital city of Jaipur.
